F101. Employability Skills Development
F101a. Computer Basics: Computer Basics is an online, self-paced digital literacy course that teaches learners computer and Internet skills needed for computer-based testing, training and today's workplace. Using built-in assessments, the learning system creates a personalized learning plan for each learner, bypassing skills they have already mastered.
This course contains over 75 lessons, activities, and assessments in three units: ∙
F101b. Work Essentials and Soft Skills: Work Essentials is an online, self-paced course designed to help learners build the employability skills they need to enter the workforce. This course focuses on what today’s employers want from new hires and prepares learners to navigate their own job search, become valued employees, and advance in their careers. Each module keeps learners invested by rewarding their work with digital badges and certifications that recognize their accomplishments. This course is perfect for adult learners struggling to find better employment opportunities, including high school equivalency candidates and high school educated adults.
F101c. Financial Literacy Money Essentials: Financial Literacy Money Essentials is an online, self-paced course that teaches learners how to take control of their money and their financial situation. This course is perfect for high school students and adults who may not have the skills needed to be successful at managing their money. This course contains over 20 lessons, activities, and quizzes in four units: ∙

Medical Terminology: This course introduces the vocabulary, abbreviations, and symbols used in the language of medicine. Emphasis is placed on building medical terms using prefixes, suffixes, and word roots. Upon completion, students should be able to pronounce, spell, and define accepted medical terms.
Anatomy/Physiology: This course provides the students, primarily in health-related programs, with an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Learners will be introduced to the structural and function among several organ systems and medical terminology related to the different systems.
Nursing Assistant/Aid: This course provides a review and instruction in the roles and responsibilities of the Nursing Assistant. Body structure and function, infection prevention, nutrition, principles of growth and development, safety in healthcare, home health care, and care of the older person are some of the topics emphasized. This course does not include a clinical rotation which is required for Certification and/or Licensure in most states.
Medical Office Assistant: In this course, you'll learn how medical assistants schedule and greet patients before exploring the different technologies, equipment, procedures, and tasks commonly seen in the medical office.
Pharmacy Technician This program is designed to prepare students for employment as a pharmacy technician. Training in medication order processing, inventories, compounding, packaging, use of a prescription balance, HIPAA privacy act and computers.
Phlebotomy Technician: The Phlebotomy Technician Program teaches learners how to draw blood from adult, pediatric and neonatal patients for the purposes of clinical laboratory analysis. Learners will learn about site preparation and collection specimens utilizing a variety of collection techniques. Students will learn theory and principles relating to blood collection during these in depth lessons. This course does not include a clinical rotation which is required by Phlebotomy Certification Agencies.
Medical Billing: In this course, students will examine the revenue cycle management procedures for medical services. They will also study the different types of insurance programs, governmental and private third-party payers, workers' compensation package, and disability coverage.
Customer Service for Healthcare Professionals: This course provides the learner with the skills needed to be working with patients in a healthcare setting. You’ll learn to provide excellent customer service by not only meeting but exceeding customer needs. Training includes an understanding of communication skills, technology in healthcare and the culture of healthcare.
